Voter Resources

All registered Mount Prospect voters are able to vote by mail, vote early, or vote on Election Day. Here in Mount Prospect, your vote will help shape our park boards, school boards, township boards, Library board, and Village Board. Make a plan to vote and encourage your family, friends, and neighbors to do the same!

Check Your Voter Registration

Checking your voter registration status is quick and easy. Make sure your name and address are up to date. Use the Illinois State Board of Elections verification tool to confirm your information.

Register to Vote

Not registered to vote? Illinois offers three options to register to vote: in-person, online, and by mail. You must be 18 years of age before Election Day (April 1st), a U.S. Citizen, and a resident of Mount Prospect for at least 30 days before Election Day. The last day to register online is March 16th.

College Voters

Students who are registered to vote at their Mount Prospect home address (versus their school address) can vote in the April 1st Election. Since Spring Break for many colleges and universities will fall during the Early Voting Period, students are encouraged to vote while they are home.

Vote by Mail

Voting by mail is now permanent in Cook County. Any registered Mount Prospect voter may request a Mail Ballot online or submit a ballot application by mail. The deadline to apply is March 27, 2025.

Early Voting

Early Voting will take place at Mount Prospect Village Hall from March 17th-March 31st. Village Hall is located at 50 S. Emerson Street in Mount Prospect.

You can register to vote at all Early Voting locations.

Walking Aid

Nursing Home and Hospital Voting

If you are admitted to a hospital, nursing home, rehab center within fourteen days of Election Day, you can arrange to have a ballot delivered to you. Follow the link below for more information.
